Endodontics
Treats infected root canal and related tissues, and fills pulp chamber and canal with endodontic materials in accordance with the approved privileges of the physician and the scope of HOSPITAL. Examines, diagnoses, and treats diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting vitality of teeth
Pedodontics
Provide oral health services of children from infancy through the teen years in accordance with the approved privileges of the physician and the scope of HOSPITAL. Preventive dental care including cleaning and fluoride treatments, as well as nutrition and diet recommendations. Early assessment and treatment for straightening teeth and correcting an improper bite
Oral Surgeon
Perform surgery on the mouth and jaws in order to treat various conditions in the mouth in accordance with the approved privileges of the physician and the scope of HOSPITAL
Periodontist
Provide treatment for patients who have gum disease and other issues in the gums and bones surrounding the jaw in accordance with the approved privileges of the physician and the scope of HOSPITAL.
General for all categories
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients’ dental conditions and malformations with the aid of X-rays and other clinical tests.
- Performing and/or interpreting all types of dental Radiographic examinations.
- Assess treatment according to the condition of the patient and provide treatment options to patients based on their oral and dental conditions and follow up on treatments.
- Diagnosis and sequential Treatment Plan with appropriate explanation for patient about his dental disease and treatment options with consequences (Implied CONSENT) while all details are documented into patient’s file.
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals and other medications or healthy regimens as appropriate.
- Provide patients and the community with oral hygiene education and awareness on prevention care in dentistry.
- Adhere to the principles of safe prescribing, utilize HOSPITAL’s electronic prescribing system and tools, discuss with patient the multiple options available and keep accurate record of medication prescribed
- Refer patients appropriately to specialists in HOSPITAL or to other providers if their need exceed the range or specialism of services provided in HOSPITAL
- Interpret and explain complex facts regarding patient’s condition in simple easy to understand language while being aware of level of understanding, disabilities and learning difficulties
- Maintain high standards of professional integrity and respect for others in all dealings with service users, colleagues, other professionals and members of the public
- Support health center management in promoting good internal and external communications and where required acts as the lead spokesperson.
- Manage the dental staff and provide them with guidance and training to enhance their efficiency.
- Stay abreast with new dentistry developments and treatments through structured personal development.
