Family Medicine Trainer (Qatar)

Job Description
  • To provide supervision on clinical practice of the unit and coordinate referrals of junior staff in the unit to higher level of care.
  • To run referral clinics to provide care for patients referred from junior physicians of the unit and internal referrals from other units and specialties.
  •  To discuss difficult cases with junior staff and supervise admissions, referral to specialized clinics and request of sophisticated investigations or restricted/controlled medications.
  • To perform chart-review and counseling of junior staff in a constructive, educational style.
  • To participate in Quality Management and to serve as a Q.M. facilitator when directed. 
  • To participate in the Department Board activities to improve qualities of care and solve any emerging problems.
  • To comply with the standards laid down by the Approved International Accreditation Standards.
  • Through the chain of command and/or occurrence variance report, identifies any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the hospital or standard of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations that put patients, staff or visitors at risk for injury or other harm.
  • To perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities
Experience & Knowledge

  • EDUCATION: Degree qualified Family Medicine Registrar, Specialist or Consultant.
  • EXPERIENCE: 5+ years post grad experience in family medicine. 
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: English essential.
  • BOARD CERTIFICATION: Preferred.
  • Directs, controls and administers the activities of assigned personnel in the family medicine services
